Can your granddad ride for 5-8 hours for 7 straight days of singletrack? If so, good for him. Thats the one thing thats kept me from applying, don't know if I legitimately have the endurance to go that hard for that long. I was reading about peoples training for it and they said they were doing 24 hour races in preparation for it. Not my normal style of riding.
